Vanessa Chandler

UK Country Manager

Tell us about what you do at ILT Education
I am the UK Country Manager for ‘Polylino’ Together with my team, I am equally responsible for hunting new sales opportunities, creating and developing strategic long-term relationships that work for all involved, and this is all part of my daily working ethic. Frankly I love it, simply because this enables me to really think outside the box, where I can be most creative, and I can look at numerous ways of reaching a myriad of potential clients to share with them the magic of story time.

How did you find yourself working for an EdTech company?
Well I am actually a qualified ‘Primary Teacher’ and a school governor. After working as a teacher for more than ten years, I decided it was time for a career change. Working within EdTech and in particular for ILT not only allows me to continue to share my passion for education, but also for me to spend more time with my family whilst delivering a vital education resource to children.

What are you most proud of since joining ILT Education?
I’m very proud to contribute to the UK education sector and as such, ensure every child gets the best education possible. My job enables me personally to support Nurseries, Primary School’s as well as the children, staff and parents who are actively involved in education.

If you weren’t at ILT Education, what would you be doing?
It would have to be working with horses and teaching others to ride. Since a very early age horses have played a role in my life. Having horses has taught me a lot about myself, and being outside with nature has so many benefits. Connecting with the horses and the comradery of fellow riders is so satisfying and fulfilling.

Global Head of Marketing

Tell us about what you do at ILT Education
I oversee all ILT Education’s international marketing activities. This means that I work really closely with inspiring colleagues not just in the UK, but across Europe and in North America to share best practice and creative ideas.

How did you find yourself working for an EdTech company?
Throughout my career I have worked within education and music, and I’ve always been intrigued by how technology is able to support more traditional aspects in these sectors. Having recently become a parent myself, I have a new awareness and understanding of how EdTech solutions can support a child’s development so when the opportunity arose to work for ILT Education I leapt for it!

What are you most proud of since joining ILT Education?
I’m most proud of the work we have achieved to bring ILT Education and Polylino to the UK market! It’s been so exciting to speak to people within the industry and hear their enthusiasm for what Polylino can do, and how impactful it has been elsewhere in the Nordic and European markets.

If you weren’t at ILT Education, what would you be doing?
I’ve often toyed with the idea of becoming a teacher as I love working with children – their creativity and ideas know no bounds! So maybe I would have embraced my Geography degree and would be climbing hills around the UK as a Geography teacher discussing various details of strata formation!

Asia Hildebrand

Uk Marketing Manager

Tell us about what you do at ILT Education

I’m responsible for all marketing and communications activities for the UK market, so everything from organising events, updating the website, running webinars, managing our digital presence… and so much more!

How did you find yourself working for an EdTech company?

I have always been interested in education and value it as one of the most precious gifts we can give our children. Prior to ILT Education, I worked at a school for four years, so I saw first-hand the demands on teachers and how little time they have. The opportunity to work in EdTech, and provide a valuable tool for teachers, while also supporting language and literacy development for children, is immensely rewarding.

What are you most proud of since joining ILT Education?

In my first week at Poylino I was at a major industry event –  I loved speaking to early years practitioners and hearing their enthusiasm for Polylino and seeing how impactful it has been elsewhere in the Nordic and European markets.

If you weren’t at ILT Education, what would you be doing?

Probably reading a book on a beach somewhere sunny!
