Polylino – a multilingual digital picture book service for children aged 0-7

Align storytime with the Early Years framework

At ILT Education, we know how important it is to align teaching resources to the national curriculum. This is why we have partnered with one of the UK’s leading literature experts, Jake Hope, to ensure that the books on Polylino can all be used to support the learning goals for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

As soon as your nursery signs up to Polylino, staff will have access to our Teacher Guide. This has been carefully written by Jake and details how the books can be used to support the EYFS framework.

This is how Polylino supports the Early Years framework

  • Literacy – The smart device app provides children with another way to engage with books and develop a life-long love of reading.
  • Communication and Language – Provides a greater range of books in your classroom, allowing more children to read and actively engage with stories and picture books, as well as enriching and widening their vocabulary to support later reading comprehension. We want the app to be used in addition to traditional books as a way to increase the library of titles which children can access.
  • Understanding the World – Our library of books engage with a wide range of topics and themes, thereby allowing the children to broaden their horizons and awareness of the world around them.
  • Inclusive and accessible – The digital service is an effective reading solution for those children with SEND or who don’t speak English as their home language.
  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development – Many of our books allow children to explore emotions and social circumstances which enables them to develop their personal, social and emotional skills.
  • Home Access – As an add-on to Polylino, nurseries can choose to purchase Polylino Home Access which allows children to use Polylino at home with their family and continue their learning journey outside the classroom.

“Staff have found Polylino extremely user friendly and have loved being able to share stories with children in their home language”
